Robinair TIF8800X Handheld Combustible Gas DetectorThe Robinair TIF8800X is a battery-operated, intrinsically safe, combustible gas detector that provides a ticking signal that increases in frequency as the source of combustible gas or vapor is approached. The TIF8800X gas detector can be used to locate combustible leaks as small as 1 ppm. The Robinair TIF8800X can be used in any situation where combustible gas, vapor, or residue needs to be found. Some applications for the gas detector are fuel leaks, liquid or gas-fired heating systems, propane filling stations, arson residue, fuel in bilges, and gas lines and pipes. OverviewThe TIF8800X combustible gas detector has an adjustable sensitivity thumbwheel that is easy to operate with one hand. The adjustable sensitivity provides a range of options for leak detection as low as 1 ppm (gasoline). The LED leak level indicator and audible signal on the gas detector increase as the source of a leak is detected.
The TIF8800X gas leak detector includes Instrument Status LEDs that indicate when the meter is ON, has a low battery, is charging, charging is complete, and if there was a problem when charging. The sensing probe is on the end of a 14-flexible shaft that will easily bend and then retain the shape. This makes it easy to check the ôback side of a pipe fitting or mechanical assembly. The probe and the meter on the TIF8800X extend about 22 for difficult-to-reach areas. The TIF handheld combustible gas detector has a 30-second warm-up, instantaneous response time, and will run for up to 4 hours on its rechargeable batteries. In addition, the gas detector has new housing and a protective boot providing a comfortable grip.
