The SubSurface PL-TT pipe and cable locator offers multiple active frequencies ranging from 512 Hz to 131 kHz and passive power frequencies. The PL-TT cable and pipe locator comes standard with 4 active frequencies, 512 Hz, 8kHz, 33 kHz and 82 kHz, ensuring successful detection even in the most complicated environments. A unique feature of the SubSurface locator is that you can customize the frequency for your specific needs. The PL-TT receiver's LCD provides two-line locate modes, relative and actual signal strength, a peak signal response, left-right guidance, and a speaker for variable audio pitch.
You can also measure depth automatically using the push-button digital depth or manually using triangulation. The receiver uses 8 C alkaline batteries that can run for 30 hours continuously and 60 hours of intermittent use. The transmitter can apply a signal using transmitter induction, coupler induction, and direct connection. It uses automatic impedance matching from 5 to 25,000 ohms with 3 watts of output power to maximize the transmission range while reducing power consumption.
The transmitter runs on 6 AA cell batteries that can last 8-15 hours of continuous use, depending on usage. Ferrous Metal DetectionThe SubSurface PL-TT can also be used as a magnetic locator. To select this mode, press the Mode key until the Fe is shown on the LCD. This mode will only detect ferrous metals containing iron.
